What’s the IT roadmap of NIIF Infrastructure? Within your organization, what is the most significant digital achievement of the past 12 months?

IT roadmap is to continue to leverage existing technology and services to get the optimum benefit from the investment. Focus will be on strengthening governance mechanism and automate processes that business will benefit from. We will continue to evaluate and implement solutions that strengthen the IT Governance. Knowledge sharing sessions in Cyber and Information Security will be scheduled for all employees and vendor partners.

Significant digital achievement in the past twelve months has been to give a better customer experience by automating certain processes in the back office systems leading to reduction of manual efforts which give existing staff more time for productive work.

What are the technologies that will characterize the next phase of digital transformation at NIIF Infrastructure?

Cloud based solutions offered as a service for Front and Back Office systems with strong Information Security controls.

Since insiders have more access to information, what kind of processes do you have in place to prevent unauthorized use of information? How is NIIF Infrastructure’s cyber security strategy going forward?

We have deployed Mcafee solutions like DLP. Data classification, key words and encryptions are configured to secure systems and protect information. Cyber strategy will be to identify threats, vulnerabilities proactively to support the strong Risk Management framework in the organization. Strategy will cover patching, updating, vulnerability management and required documentation.

With your rich experience of steering technology, can you please share some of the unique lessons learned.

Unique lessons learnt
• Process definition and Operating Procedures adherence are key to establish a strong IT Governance mechanism.
• Cloud solutions and services have to be evaluated, understood thoroughly for the operating mechanism to give maximum benefits
• Need to explain and tell stories to describe and help business understand the impact that the technology investment will have on business value
